Goodings & Co, a well known auctioneer in California had sold off a 1957 Ferrari Testa Rossa. This car managed to bring in a whooping $16.4 million and it holds the record for the highest amount paid for a car, ever in an auction. The record for the highest before this was $12 million and it was held by yet another 1957 Testa Rossa as well. The car in question is basically one of the very first in the long line of the Testa Rossa. It can give 300 HP, it has a four speed transmission which is manual. This car was even used for racing in various countries in Europe, and the United States Of America.

This is the Benz which managed to reel in $ 9.68 million! California was home to the auction where this roadster was sold off. This car got the price which the auctioneers were expecting. Back when this car was made in Sindelfingen in 1973, it was priced at $12,000 and now it managed to get more than $9 million! In fact, during the era of the world war, this was the car which was deemed to be the most revered and most beautiful car available.

This coupe had been commissioned by one of the most wealthiest and also the most eccentric resident of California. If you don't care about the expense or the practicality or even the looks, if you have a few extra million's to spare, then you should definitely go for this car! This too was sold by Gooding & Co in the Monterey auctions in 2011.

This car was sold off for $5,040,000. But considering this was a pre-war sports car, it was worth every penny paid. In fact, this is one of the most finest Mercedes Benz cars ever made.

This car was first delivered to Bob Grossman in June, 1959. It still remains as one of the top cars available. Although this car did not have a huge racing history, it was the very first car to feature the outside plug engine. Recently it was sold off in a bid for $3,355,000.
