The 2013 VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe is the latest tuning endeavor from Texas-based auto tuning outfit Hennessey Performance and comes with all the bells and whistles that the twin-turbocharger-loving tuner usually fits in their cars. What makes the tuned Cadillac CTS-V Coupe really special, however, is the fact that this particular tuning job can actually deliver a massive 1,226 horsepower and can potentially upstage the upcoming 1,000+ horsepower Bugatti Galibier sedan as the fastest car on the planet.

The Venom GT-sourced 7.0-L aluminum V8 engine was modified by Hennessey Performance to output1,109 lb-ft torque @ 4,000 rpm and displace a mammoth 1,226 bhp @ 6,400 rpm. This allows the vehicle to obtain a high speed of 242 mph though the VR1200 Twin Turbo really shines through on the starting lines darting from 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds on route to hitting the quarter mile mark in just 1.2 seconds.
The engine comes with an adjustable power boost controller which allows users to choose between 800 bhp, 1000 bhp and 1226 bhp power settings. John Heinricy tuned the factory magnetic ride control offered on the ride which was mated to upgraded front and rear sway bars. Both the front and rear suspensions were also lowered by one inch.
The CarbonAero Widebody kit used on the model includes an extensive use of carbon fiber on the rear fender flares, the extractor hood, the front fenders, the rear diffuser and the front splitter. The 2013 VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe sports Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires that are wrapped around 20 inch Hennessey wheels.
The interior of the 2013 VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe will feature upgrades like premium floor mats and embroidered headrests from Hennessey, upgraded leather and stitching, carbon fiber door sills and an Alcantara headliner. Each limited edition 2013 VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe comes with a serial-numbered engine plaque and dash and Hennessey exterior badging. Hennessey performance has stated that they will produce just 12 2013 VR1200 Twin Turbo coupes though the VR1200 upgrade could also be offered on the CTS-V wagons and sedans sometime soon.
