Armortech, Atelier Valdeig give Audi Q7 a Bentley makeover

The SUV segment is flooded with vehicles that come with all kinds of trim levels and add on packages though there aren’t any SUVs that are given the “super sport” moniker. However, Armortech-Motor Group has commissioned Bentley and Atelier Valdeig, a German design studio, to create ultra-luxury SUV concept based on the Audi Q7 to fit the bill for thus as yet non-existent segment in the SUV market. Armortech-Motors Group is renowned throughout Europe for creating special protection vehicles and individual conversions for luxury car for their very wealthy and very exclusive clientele and the new addition dubbed the “Tresor” (German for ‘strong room’ or ‘safe’ and French for ‘treasure’) looks to combine their two specialties into one premium SUV for its most discerning customers.

The best specialists in the business are being roped in to hand craft elements throughout the vehicle including the bespoke interiors and special exteriors. Atelier Valdeig will use the traditional know-how of top English luxury car maker Bentley to give the 2012 Armortech Tresor a distinctly British-looking dashboard, seat and exterior lines that would replenish the vehicle with a timeless elegance, sportiness and design cues that are traditionally British.

On the inside, the cabin would come fitted with customer-specific detailing including the kind of infotainment option they would prefer that would make each of these vehicles an exclusive creation in its own right. Under the hood, the range of engines offered would feature the most up-to-date technologies derived from platforms of successful vehicle like Porsche Cayenne, the Audi Q7 and the VW Touareg with the V12 TDI Audi engine used in the vehicle roughly offering a 500hp/1,00Nm torque power range. With a wide body version, full/partial armoring, a partition wall, different wheelbases, diesel and petrol engine options and custom interiors, the 2012 ARMORTECH TRESOR would definitely be one of the most eagerly anticipated vehicles this year.
