The Vantage sports a front mid-mounted 32-valve, 4735 cc V8 petrol engine capable of delivering 420 hp at 7,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 346 lb/ft at 5,000 rpm. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, this sees it reach the 0-100 km run in 4.9 seconds with a max speed of 290 km/h.
The Vantage comes equipped with a trip computer, rear parking sensors, OEL displays and automatic temperature control. Like all Aston Martins, the Vantage incorporates the latest in safety features. It is fitted with eight air bags, Antilock Brake System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, traction control, front and rear obstacle detection, Emergency Brake Assist and Dynamic Stability Control.
Entertainment hasn’t been left behind either as the Vantage is fitted with all the goodies you may need. Expect to find the Aston Martin Audio System that consists of a six CD-changer, integrated Apple iPod connector, hard disk drive, USB connectors and an auxiliary input socket.
The V8 Vantage speaks of elegance and sportiness, combined in the fine way Aston Martin is noted for. The low ground clearance makes it appear sporty while the inside looks and feels like a sedan. The driving experience is further enhanced if you drive in sport mode, giving off a low rumble that’s evidence of the power lying beneath. It’s said to have a better driving dynamic than others in its class while the design elements lower the coefficient of drag and lift to increase high speed stability.
The long hood, lower front bumper and sculpted race derived side sills serve to enhance its gorgeous looks and performance. The Vantage’s main halogen projector headlamps and dipped HID lamps along with LED rear tail lamps add to its aggressive appearance.
Aside from the renowned front grille with horizontal slats, the Vantage sports race derived side sills to produce a more muscular look, as well as a lower bumper and an aerodynamic splitter. Halogen projector lamps and HID lamps increase the sportiness of the car. This is further enhanced by the 19-inch alloy wheels with a 20-spoke diamond turned design.
The Vantage is equipped with full-grained leather interiors, including the steering wheel, and gunmetal alloy fascia trim. Alcatara headlining gives the cabin a soft and elegant look while a graphite center console nicely complements the leather and alloy trim. Users can make use of the tire pressure monitoring system, alarm and immobilizer, LED map-reading lights, and Lamy pen and a pen holder.
Customers looking to heighten the performance of their Vantage can avail of a power upgrade that increases horsepower and torque. A Sports Pack further tunes components to enhance performance, improve control and reduce body roll. For the Roadster and S Coupe, Aston Martin has designed carbon fiber splitters and diffusers produced with hand-laid precision. You can also choose to install front cameras in addition to the rear as well as make iPod and USB upgrades. Finally, you can purchase a luggage set designed exclusively for the Vantage.
