The Continental's has been endowed with a twin-turbo W12 engine having a capacity of 6.0-liters that dishes out a healthy 567 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque and transmits it’s power to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. The Car covers 0-60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 198 mph, making it a supercar in every sense. The engine of the Continental GT Speed makes the twin-turbo charged engine to pump up to 600 horsepower of Engine strength and 553 lb-ft of gigantic torque. Until the launch of the new Supersports version, The GT Speed was for a considerable period of time tipped to be the most powerful automobiles ever produced by Bentley.
In consonance with popular expectation, the Bentley Continental GT has been splurged with new and exciting features. Notable additions include twenty-inch wheels, parking sensors, multiple-zone enabled climate control, and xenon powered headlights, variable suspension damping, 10-way powered front seats, navigation systems and an eight-speaker music system. The GT Speed, the Premium Sports Car version of the Continental GT has been endowed with features like leather upholstery, pitch-black upper and lower chrome mesh grilles, twenty one-inch wheels having dual spokes thirteen in number and steering wheel having triple spokes.
The Bentley Continental GT is huge since it weighs a bulky 2.3 tonnes. The bonnet stretches into the horizon making the observer peer forward to guess where the four corners are.
The new Mulliner Styling Specification’s package features a distinct front bumper splitter, front intake grilles, side extended blades and a back diffuser, all made from black lustrous carbon-fiber. These design features are harmonized by a range of individual design options, consisting of black carbon-fiber rear spoilers and door mirror hoods as well as distinguishing, black-painted twenty one-inch ‘svelte’ alloy wheels and dark mesh front wing vent linked with black carbon-fiber bezels.
Each carbon-fiber component deftly echoes the skilful crafting of the wood veneers of the GT’s new cabin and every such component employs the ‘mirror matching’ procedure with the distinct weave pattern flowing in a particular direction. The sporting appearance of the new GT is delicately enhanced by a stylish black carbon-fiber front bumper splitter, and is complemented by solid carbon-fiber wheals integrated into the lower air intake grilles.
The Exterior of the car embodies the deft touch of the car's new design specification. The Smoldered steel finish to radiator and bumper grille in matrix style not only gives the car a regal look, but also makes it very attractive. The headlamp coverings have been given a Black finish and the smoked steel finish to bezels heighten the charismatic look of the Bentley Continental. The rear bumper has been restyled and the double bonnet vents with an integrated smoked steel finish to the grilles makes the appearance of the car look very sporty and stylish simultaneously.
The Continental’s interior is where one can find the true exemplification of the class that Bentley is known for. The steering wheel is heated. The air vents are controlled by automatic chrome knobs. One can just press a button to not only check the air pressure in each tire, but also which set of wheels they are driving on (for example the 20in, the 21in or the winter wheels). The boot can be opened by lightly combing the "B" on the rear badge. The boot and doors are self-enclosing and to be honest, having to shut things manually can be really bothersome. Best of all is the fact that when a driver enters into the driving seat, a small arm passes him his seat belt. Other notable features include maneuverable cruise controls, rear view camera, and air circulating front seats with massage functions, a wooden-trimmed steering wheel and an 11-speaker Naim music system with a six-CD/DVD changer in the Premium Sports version.
Bentley Motors has launched an updated collection of accessories to further emphasize and personalize the appearance of an individual car. Some prominent accessories include the Vented Wings designed by none other than Raul Pires, head of Bentley’s Exterior Design Team.
Bentley's revised auto-leveling Wheel Badges offer customers the opportunity to ingeniously personalize their Bentley. The badges fit into the centre of the wheel and mark the carmaker’s traditional ‘B’ symbol bordered by the ‘Bentley Motors’ script and remain completely level and straight at speeds of up to a maximum 70mph (or 112 Km/h). The Jeweled Torch has been another notable hit with Bentley enthusiasts. The slim torch has retained its powerful LED spot beam with the addition of an extra punch of style and practicality. The Bentley’s 'B' is now lasered into the lens and the carmaker’s distinct knurling has been added around the beam adjustment bezel. The updated version of this compact torch is available in a branded box and is recharged from the car's cigar lighter.
