BMW offers its latest 5-Series with a customizable instrument panel

In a world full of automakers set to outdo one another by luring in new buyers with unbelievable customization and personalization options with each vehicle, it’s tough to come up with ways to make yourself stand out as a brand. However, BMW is taking its dedication to its customers very seriously and the company is all set to offers its latest range of 5-Series cars with a whole new range of customization options for the model’s multifunctional instrument panel.

Going beyond the regular engine, exterior finish and interior trim options, the new customization offer by BMW would allow its drivers to have a say in what they want sitting in front of their eyes when they purchase a new BMW 5-Series with the Black Panel technology-laden 10.25-inch display on the customizable instrument panel retaining the traditional four round gauges’ arrangement though information displayed and colors offered for these gauges will be offered in bespoke configurations to the buyers.

A choice of up to four different modes would be offered to the customer with Sport, Eco Pro and Comfort modes being amongst the options apart from the standard mode. Between the instruments, additional information will be displayed via opened up rings in the Sport mode with the Eco Pro and Comfort mode offering the conventional four closed round instruments layout.

To show how efficiently the car is being driven, the EfficientDynamics display is beamed up on the rev counter in the Eco Pro mode while in Sport mode, the center of the rev counter shows the selected gear and the center of the speedometer displays large figure digitally displaying the speed.
