2011 was not easy for automakers due to the ongoing economic crisis in Europe and the US. The economic turmoil affected the sales considerably but it did not affect manufacturers from releasing new vehicles. In 2011 we saw the launch of several vehicles at different auto shows throughout the year. Here is a list of 10 best cars from auto shows in 2011.

Manufactured by German automaker Mercedes, this car was launched at the Detroit Auto Show. This powerful car with an aggressive look is powered by four synchronous electric motors delivering a combined output of 526 hp and a total torque of 649 lb-ft. The electric motors are positioned near the wheels. This car with a sleek and stylish look can go from zero to 60 mph in 4 seconds.

This concept car featuring rear-wheel drive was unveiled at New York Auto Show. This car with a bold and dynamic look is powered by a 2.0 L engine with D4-S direct and port injection system of Toyota. This car sports 20-inches wheels and has motorcycle-style braking system. This car maintained good balance even at high speed. Toyota calls this car "Friggin really sweet."

Manufactured by Ford, the GTS Mustang features a prominent and attractive grille and redesigned fenders. Heat extractors are present in the hood to remove the heat from the engine and keep it cool. Powered by a 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 with an output of 470 horsepower and maximum torque of 465 pound-feet, the 300 SRT8 is one of the most powerful cars launched in 2011. This car features standard five-speed automatic transmission, but Chrysler has announced that it will soon launch a model featuring eight-speed auto transmission.
