Being as over-stimulated as we have become as a species, it’s almost impossible to keep backseat passengers entertained during journeys that last longer than 15 minutes. For folks that do not want to risk a severe neck strain from using their iPhones and iPads in handheld mode while travelling in a car, TouCoul has created iPad car mount called the CoulVue. The iPad mount basically attached to the back of the front seat headrests and allows passengers seated at the back to work on the iPad, play games, view videos and watch movies instead of bugging the heck out of the driver with questions like “are we there yet?” and instructions on which routes will get them to the destination the quickest.

The headrest iPad mount had previously been created by the company for the original iPad and the iPad two though its latest version is all geared up to handle upgraded features like HD camera and retina display that the iPad 3 will come laced with. The mount comes packages with a fully assembled CoulVue, an instructions leaflet, warranty info, necessary nuts and bolts and a hex wrench which makes installing the mount a one-step affair.
The CoulVue can be rotated 360 degrees allowing the iPad t be used in landscape or portrait mode. What’s even better is that the mount can be placed between the two headrests as well to allow everyone in the rear to view the same iPad.

The mount also retracts completely so that when you’re not using it, it stays totally out of the way. The CoulVue for the iPad 3 retails for something around $70 and works with previous versions of the tablet as well.
