Pimped up cars are not the latest ones, but these cars come in forms that we cannot even think of. We can see a lot of them running around on the roads and some of them must have even made heads turn. Some pimped vehicles are really awesome, some are awe-inspiring, while the others are simply awful. 1. Pimped Toyota cab mini truck is a thumper
Pimped cars depict the pop culture. Those cars are a symbol of passion, which is main purpose of their creation. This is a cab cum mini truck that has its interior made from custom fiberglass. This is a customized truck that houses nine speakers and three 12-inch woofers with an Xbox, thus making it an ultimate music powerhouse. Impressive sound is the only reason that made its designer Tom Walsh to experiment with this Toyota truck.
2. DJ Pimped Car
Inspired by the Popemobile and the song “God is a DJ”, by faithless, Dutch artist Olaf Mooji pimped hiscar sound system in an altogether different way. Mooji crafted a PA system with two turntables and many big speakers on the back. Powering this type of big system is very difficult, but this car is a live example of it.
3. GAS Scythe
Galphin Auto Sports (GAS), apart from the rest of the things, is the official store of the guys from “Pimp My Ride", who decided to devise something different at SEMA. Ford Mustang GT convertible was used as the base with all the equipment removed. Then, a 5-liter V8 engine was added for making it 1005 HP. The engine consists of two mechanical compressors, 3 valves per cylinder and a new admission. The brakes are provided by Wilwood discs of 16.5-inch. The interior consists of many electronics products, ranging from laptops to Internet 3G connection and also an audio system. In short, what we get is a real show car that attracts many viewers.
4. Cool Guitar Car
Ray bought a 1968 Ford in Santa Cruz, and he sawed the car until the chassis is left. Ray then started designing and building it into a guitar. The guitar car was handmade from 18 gauge steel sheets and angle iron. No shop was available to work at and the tools consisted of a jig saw, a power saw and a steel cutting blade.
5. Pimped car is the world's most extreme Toyota Prius
Kenny Kyrk, Classe Gustafson and Elvis Haggbom from Classe’s Garage transformed the ordinary looking Prius into the world’s most extreme Prius. The car consists of a wide body kit and a 20” alloy rim that are enclosed in robust rubber. The interiors of this car are very exquisite and detailed. The coolest thing about this one is that it has very powerful audio system and it also consists of a tablet PC. Another plus point is that its gearbox shifter was moved to the lower section of the console from the dashboard.
6. Alpine’s 2003 Honda Civic Si
This car was designed by Steve Brown and Mike Vu from the Alpine car design team. This award-winning Honda Civic Si is widely acclaimed as the best installation at the 2003 CES.
Brown and Vu used the 2004 Mini Cooper and successfully sawed its top. They used the industrial strength steel rails successfully that made the center drive seat and its subwoofers to slide ahead of the vehicle for over 4 feet. Alpine’s 2003 Honda Civic Si consists of a motorized amp rack/gauge cage, five monitors and a center drive.
7. Sneaker Bistro has a pimped out Scion to its name
This pimped-up car has a lower suspension, huge insignia and tricked out swing arm doors. The biggest eye catcher is the multi-amplifier sound system that looks very cool for a Scion. The interiors are done in such a way that they match with the overall appearance of the car.
8. DIY Scion xB
Greg Pruitt customized the popular 08 Scion and created a car with audio and video systems. The main feature of xB is the entertainment system that comprises of 32” LCD and a Nintendo Wii game console installed on the left side. The audio is quite loud for even the heaviest tracks on the Guitar Hero.
9. Crazy Manchester City fans remodel Chevy convertible
Mike Radcliffe and Shaun Donohoe, two crazy Citizens, remodeled an old Chevrolet convertible and changed it into something that looked like their personal ‘Citizen Cruiser’. These two people have spent a huge amount of money for altering the complete look and feel of the old Chevy. They found some guys who did the customization of the car and gave it an entirely new look.
