Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. known as Lamborghini, was founded by the famous Ferruccio Lamborghini in 1963. Since then the brand has been famous and ever growing because of its refined designs, power and comfort. Lamborghini in this era, is the elite class of high-end cars with only a few competitors of its standards. The Lamborghini concept designs always catch the eye. The Lamborghini Madura concept is no exception. Madura is the first hybrid car concept by Slavche Tanevskyi. Here's what all you need to know about the design.
1. Design concept
Slavche Tanevsky, is the creator of the initial concept and design of the new Lamborghini Madura. Slavche Tanevsky is a student at Munich University. He was also the designer of the Lamborghini Ankonion concept, which looks more like the cruel next batman vehicle on the road.
2. Name
The name Lamborghini Madura has been inspired from the island of Madura in Indonesia. Madura is an island famous for bull races. Ferrucio Lamborghini’s admiration and interest towards the culture of Spain and bull fighting as a sport is the reason why all the Lamborghinis are named after some famous bull’s identity or places connected to bull fighting or racing. This explains the connection of the Lamborghini Madura Concept logo and its aggressive aerodynamics.
3. Technology
The Lamborghini Madura is supposed to be the first hybrid car concept for Lamborghini. The car is engineered as a step towards a greener future. The engine is expected to be as powerful as other Lamborghinis. The design is awe so futuristic, but the best feature of the concept car is the hybrid, to make it environment friendly. The all new propulsion system is expected to make a mark.
4. Design credit
The overall design of this fantastic sports car is the collaborative work of Lamborghini and Audi design engineers, specifically designed for the Lamborghini’s Raw Material Project as a hybrid proposal. The program was led by Dr. Othmar Wichenheiser for the students to take part at school, which led to the creation of a famous concept car design for the Lamborghini future.
5. Launch
The Lamborghini Madura concept design is out and Lamborghini is supposedly working on achieving the highest standards for its first hybrid concept, which is expected to hit the roads in the near future, as an eco-friendly car. The grand launch of this futuristic concept car is due in the year 2016.
6. Body
The back of the body is cab-backward style, which is a new addition to the earlier Lamborghini designs. The sides are somewhat similar to the earlier designs made by Lamborghini, be it the Ankonion concept or the Lamborghini Urraco, which was an early sports design of the 1970’s.
7. Proportion
The new Madura concept is designed with a short wheelbase, basically for a steady drive and better agility. The design complimentary to the short wheelbase has longer overhangs, crafted for a cutting edge visual appeal.
8. Front
The aerodynamics of the car is unique, The spoiler designed with the blades is carved to give more appeal and depth to the existing aircraft design. The headlights are sleek and thin, like the other sports designs. The round hood with blade edges for details gives the car a prominent appeal.
9. Back
The back of the car is as stylish as expected. The spoiler is edgy, connected to the striking red laser lights. The tail lights are complimentary to the front are broader than the front but proportionately slender.
