It won’t be an exaggeration to say that fist day at Paris Motor Show belonged to Lotus. And here we’re to talk about the third concept out of the total five revealed at the grad arena, the Lotus Elise. All the five concept vehicles with varying options have been there to come out one after the other in the years to come.

Coming to the powertrain of the vehicle, Lotus Elise concept is powered by 2.0 liter four cylinder petrol engine, procured from Toyota, that produces 320hp and 330 NM of torque. Engine is mated to 6 Speed Manual (DCT optional) transmission. The concept is almost the half powerful in comparison to Lotus’ Esprit and Elite hybrid vehicles.
Elise concept is a 2 seater, mid-engined, rear wheel drive car that weighs 1,095 kg and has 150g of CO2 emission per kilometer. The vehicle also features the start/stop option and gets from 0-62mph in 4.3 seconds with its top speed at 167 mph. The vehicle is class leading in terms of performance and efficiency and will come in 2015 with a price tag of approximately $55,000 (£35,000).
