It is speculated that the 1000 horsepower sedan Bugatti Galibier would reach the markets by the end of the year 2013. The name Galibier was given after one of the highest points of the Tour de France. It is a mountain pass in the southern region of the French Alpine pass.

First look:
Sure to grab a lot of attention, this four seat lavish car has a classy look and would replace Bugatti Veyron 16.4. With a powerful engine, it is expected to reach a 62 mph in less than 3 seconds. No wonder, it is going to be the driver's favorite.
The machine:
This sedan would be the finest of its kind in every sense. It would employ a couple of superchargers instead of four turbochargers, which will run on a W16 engine. A W16 engine is actually a 16-cylinder piston with an internal combustion engine and a W configuration. These cylinders will be arranged in a double row of eight cylinders each.
The two superchargers are said to propel the Galibier to a speed of about 217 mph. The car is going to be a thumping 5.37 m long.

It looks like the company plans to build only 300 units of this concept car. This number is less compared to the 450-unit production of Bugatti Veyron, a mega-power car that will be out from the production end by the year 2012.
Wolfgang Durheimer, the new CEO of Bugatti and Bentley, has confirmed that the car is undergoing its second half of the design phase but that it will be very different from the concept car that was initially exhibited.
Durheimer said,
I will suggest we continue development, but there will be some remarkable changes from the original concept. The design will be different, especially from the B-pillar back, the ingress, and regress to the rear seats will be improved, as will the legroom and ergonomics, the car will be a little longer, and the power of the engine will be at least four figures. He also said,
The car has a much higher value that the Veyron, with lot of trunk volume and a four-seat plus one configuration. Some alteration and addition of facilities is required for the production to start at Molsheim, France. This might cause some delay in the commencement of manufacturing.
What’s good:
The interiors of the car are simply grand - displaying luxury and furnishing gratification to car lovers. It caters to the epicurean pleasures. The fine wood and leather trimmed dashboard and the magnesium switches add to the elegance.
Behind the driver's steering wheel will be a LCD, which will display battalion of driver information. Another fact is that Galibier is going to be a hatchback.
News is that this car will have a flexible fuel engine and can run on biogas and ethanol. So one of the most expensive and luxurious cars ever follows the “Go green” motto.
What’s not so good:
All positives said, no matter how refined and graceful it seems, one has to ponder whether he can spend 1 million euro on this car. In addition, it is much criticized that the car could have a better radical exterior to match the fantastic interior.
Things to watch out for:
With extra legroom and improved engine performance, this car is believed to be the ultimate of its kind, which is going to be a treat for Bugatti lovers, although not everyone can afford its huge price.
The doors and the wings are made of polished aluminum and the body of the car is carefully structured with carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is light and possesses remarkable rigidity.
The car's dashboard will be one large piece with a Parmigiani Reverso Tourbillon clock set up on it. This can be detached and worn as a wristwatch. The speedometer has been intentionally placed in the center of the dashboard so that the rear passengers can have a good look at what speed they are flying at.
