Futuristic is a very relative term, and in the case of this 3D Gauge cluster, it may be very close to the present. It is the result of a joint effort by computer graphics company NVIDIA and mobile solutions company icon icar. The design is icon’s “proof of concept” for automakers, the single screen can contain a standard speedometer and fuel gauge, radio and navigation information, and since it is all digital, basically a number of functions can go to the same screen. It can effectively give the driver all necessary information in a single screen, minimizing the trouble of looking at and managing different controls.
