A Hybrid 'HEMTT' truck for the US military

Seems like the hybrid fever has struck even the military. Actually, that is one area where it is extremely needed too.

Oshkosh Truck Corp will soon be completing models of the electric hybrid 'Heavy Expanded Mobility Technical Truck' or HEMTT.

The truck, when completed, will give 20% greater fuel efficiency compared to the normal 3 to 4 mpg it holds now.

Besides, the truck will be as comfortable as any luxurious car and million times softer than it is now. It also has the ability to generate electricity to power a city block or hospital and with these new features added it will successfully aid soldiers at the battlefield.
