Alfa Romeo Quattroposti: Structured to Sizzle!

B.Sameer KumarAug 20 2008

The image of a supercar is that of a vehicle that is stylish, sleek and has an engine that would allow you to leave everything else on the road behind at blurring pace. Yet, most people who think of the supercar never really worry about how many people it can carry and if it really has any luggage space. I guess we really do not want too many people in the ‘supercar’ and our image of the lovely ride in that amazing car is limited to probably just a couple travelling in it. But the ‘Alfa Romeo Quattroposti’ is about making the supercar more practical.

Designed by Yuri Baskakov of Russia, the concept car does indeed looks like a super car which is a four seater and has enough luggage space for you to go out on a holiday. The vehicle is low, wide and does not resemble a conventional car, even heavily modified version of present supercars, according to the designer. The designer was ultra-careful in still keeping the look and the feel of the car akin to the supercar image of the modern world. Yuri is student at the Umea Institute of Design and hopefully we will see more such supercar designs from him as we go along!
