Amphibious bus makes a trial run in Japan

Japan has taken fun to another dimension by creating an amphibious bus. This bus recently made a trial cruise on Lake Suwa in Nagano Prefecture of Japan. The amphibious bus can carry 40 passengers, it is capable of running on the road with a top speed of 120kmph and when wading in water, it has a maximum speed of 15kmph.

Suwa city and the city tourist association used this trial run to look into its commercial feasibility. They must have been happy with the results; over 1,800 people applied for a ride in this vehicle but the bus made only a few trips with only 240 people getting to enjoy the 'cruise'. We think this is going to be a huge attraction for people going to Suwa City.
