An Oldsmobile that went for one and a half million dollars

The car you see in the image above was put up for auction at Hershey by RM Auctions with bids starting at $300,000. When the bid opened, the bids just went up until they burst through the ceiling at $1.4 million. That according to me is a hefty price for a relic like that, the buyer obviously didn't think so.

1911 oldsmobile

The vehicle is an 1911 Oldsmobile Limited seven passenger touring, there isn't much to say about its condition, that is fairly visible in the image. Hemmings says European buyers ruled the roost at the auction, buoyed by a strong currency, they had a great time there.

Total sales from the auction stood at $12,934,270 that includes a 10% premium. All 115 lots had no reserve.
