Aspid: Ultra light sports car luxury at its elegant best

The Aspid is a wonderful piece of work in the ultra light sports car category and what makes it special is the simple fact that it stands out from the crowd. The car looks a lot different from the super fast sports cars of the present generation that have no hard edges and are as aerodynamically perfect as they could get. I like the one in olive green that looks almost classical and has a very royal feel to it. It is nice to see that such a design is till pretty popular and there is absolutely no reason why it should not be either.

The Aspid by IFR Automotive is lightweight (1,550 lbs) aluminum and carbon fiber luxury sports vehicle that has gone into production and is scheduled to hit the streets later in the year. The gorgeous ride prototypes feature a 2-liter engine, either naturally aspirated to deliver 270bhp or supercharged to 400bhp. The car is expected to perform as well, if not better, than the way it looks.

This exclusive vehicle will be tailored to the precise needs of each individual customer and the anticipated base price is £75,000 and above and while that is not a very cheap bargain, you do not expect to get one either with this car. Now let us see when it actually takes to the road.
