Aston Martin One-77 'unwrapped'

For reasons not restricted to Bond movies alone, Aston Martin has always managed to hype up its launches. And we haven’t had reasons to sulk so far. Be prepared to let the drool flow one more time, as the One-77 finally makes a celebrity-like appearance and a matching price tag to go with it. At £1.2million, it leaves the legendary Veyron in the shade and stakes claim for ‘the most coveted’ label. Fortunately, the car doesn’t flaunt just ogle-worthy curves and desirable skin. Disappointing though is the fact that AM is yet to give us a comprehensive view of this beauty.

The Machine

Designed for the elite, the One-77 has a massive 7.0ltr V12 pumping out 650 horses of raw power. And the result is a 3.5 second dash from 0-60mph, topping out at 220mph. Six-spoke alloys, immaculately chiseled air intakes and a carbon fiber chassis contribute their bit to its reputation. Apparently, the 77 elite buyers would get to customize the car to their tastes as well. Obsessive, indeed!

The Thrill

The One-77 could ride on its pre-launch hype alone. We would, though, make no bones about the fact that it truly deserves all the attention it has received so far. All that we wait for now is a final list of the lucky seventy-seven. Any guesses?
