Auto Union D-type from Hitler's Regime to be auctioned in Paris

The true incarnation of evil in the recent past, he was considered cruel for his ruthless deeds but he did posses a brain, which saw future unlike anyone from his Era. Adolf Hitler can never escape criticism for what he did, but then numerous technological developments he ushered in that Era were commendable and very unlike his deeds.

I am sure no Auto Geek can ever forget the Auto Union D-Type cars which were tailor-made for Hitler, who inturn used them to display the power of his realm. Only two of those famous D-Types are left and one of them will be auctioned by Christies' in Paris by February 2007.

For those of you who do not know, Adolf Hitler himself requested Ferdinand Porsche to develop these amazing cars which generated 485 hp at that time with a top speed of 186 mph. Bearing in mind that these cars were made between the 30's and the 40's they were truly astonishing .

The fact that only two of them are left make them one of the rarest pieces in the automotive world as the rest of them faced the bludgeoning of the Second World War . The speculators are predicting this one to be sold as the most expensive car ever and it may well dethrone the 11 million dollar Buggati.
