Bertone may put the $2 million Mantide for limited production

Bertone’s ZR1 based Mantide was unveiled at Shanghai, but there was no word on pricing or availability of the super sexy supercar. According to Bertone's chief designer Jason Castriota, there’s “considerable interest” for the car in the world, and he has received communication from a number of potential clients.

There’s a huge difference in cost if you compare the €1,500,000 Mantide with its donor car, the €79,000 ZR1. The ZR1 itself is no tame beast, but the work by the Italian coachbuilder takes the price to that high a level. There is a possibility that the car may enter limited production, with only 10 units being produced to keep up the exclusivity factor. Not that a $2 million car wouldn’t be exclusive.
