BMW M3 sedan unveiled

BMW has finally unveiled the M3 sedan. The new sedan gets four doors and a styling that puts it in a different league. The M3 sedan gets much from M3's coupe version.

The sedan is powered by a 4.0L V8 that endows it with 420hp and a torque of 295 lb-ft.

The sedan shares its front-end treatment and 18-inch wheels with the coupe version. Transmissions for the sedan include a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed M DCT dual-clutch unit.

The M3 sedan seems to be squarely targeted at Lexus IS-F, Audi RS4, and Mercedes C63 AMG.

Pricing for the sedan has not yet been announced.
