BMW Z10 ED eco supercar to take on the Audi R8

BMW’s “Efficient Dynamics” and environment friendly technology will get a full showcase in the automakers environment friendly supercar, the Z10 ED. Aimed at the Audi R8, the lightweight car is expected to weigh just about 1400kg and provide 400 hp, while keeping the emissions at low levels. This front-engined, rear-drive car is being designed as a car for the future, and may actually make it to the production lines; but, there are obstacles. BMW Group’s design director Adrian van Hooydonk says the current economic crisis can make the production of the car difficult, especially in way of a supercar.
