They say thoughts control the way you live. What if I say thoughts control what you drive? How interesting and relaxing will it be if your car maneuvered at a click of your thoughts. Capable of reading brain activity will be Raúl Rojas, an AI professor at the Freie Universität Berlin along with his team’s “Braindriver” application.
A futuristic application and not anywhere close to making a debut on road, it makes good use of EEG, an Emotive Headset. But to attain the power one has to undergo some mental training to tap actions. Responding to commands forwarded by the brain, it will turn left or right, speed up and down, as per your brain activity blueprint. Engine, brakes and steering can be guarded by the thoughts of a driver once these commands are fed in the drive-by-wire system of the modified Volkswagen Passat Variant 3c.
It can be exploited best by people with some kind of a disability that restricts them from driving on road, hence, giving them more freedom of movement.
