Bugatti founder Ettore Bugatti’s Type 57C to be auctioned

If the barn find Bugatti Type 57S Atalante could fetch more than 4 million at an auction, this car could actually go way further. The Type 57S on auction was made in 1936 for the birthday of Bugatti’s founder, Ettore Bugatti. After his death, the company upgraded the car and sold it off in the 1950s. It hasn’t changed hands many times since then, and is strictly original – without having undergone any type of restoration. The rare car will be auctioned at Gooding & Company auction at Pebble Beach in August, and there’s a good possibility that it will set an auction record.
