Chevrolet is all smiles for they are celebrating their Centennial this year and that too with the launch of design chief Ed Welburn’s top ten Chevrolet designs. With such huge power packed reasons, Chevrolet has all the reasons to rejoice.

The latest fad to join the design list is The Centennial Edition treatment, known as ZLC in GM’s order books. It shall begin by painting each Corvette in a rich satin look Carbon Flash Metallic paint, while the Centennial Satin Black wheels with red-painted rims, and red-painted brake callipers strut around, adding a further glint of oomphness to the dark aura.
The black and red theme is just not limited to the exterior part of the body. The richness of the two colors has been made well use of in the interiors as well. Right from the red stitching for the leather-wrapped dashboard, shifter, steering wheel, center console, and seats to the logo embossed seat headrests, the colors have been beautifully merged into the interiors.
As the price of this little beauty is still unknown, there are a lot of thumping hearts waiting for the on sale date. On one side, Chevrolet celebrates its Centennial by launching the Corvette, whereas, on the other hand, it would be selling the 100th 2012 Corvette at the Barrett-Jackson auction, with proceeds benefiting the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer. I say, great going guys, for its not very often such a dual celebration can take place with so many people benefiting all at once.
