Citroen to reveal space shuttle lookalike Tubik concept at Frankfurt

Citroen, a French automaker, is going to reveal its new space shuttle lookalike Tubik concept at Frankfurt Motor show this year. And it’s big, really big. The vehicle may look like a van but it’s not a normal Van because of comfort provided to the users by Citroen.

Revising the minivan design, Tubik is 9-seater and measures 2.05m in height, 2.08m in width and 4.08 m in length. The concept is based on the notion that people will travel in little groups in future. As a result, the shape and interiors of the car are designed in a way to provide comfy ride to a group of people.

A look at the interiors of the car will reveal a high-tech world to you and the seats, steering, pedal assembly is designed in a circular display. The body of the car is presented in aluminum grey look which reflects its strong and protective looks. The driver of the car is recognized by the finger print recognition facility. For easy maneuverability, a head up display and a screen is provided to the driver in steering wheel. Also, there is rear view camera behind the car by which driver can see what’s happening behind the vehicle.

Interior of the car is having good lighting effect and one can feel like a fully furnished room of a house and from the driver’s seat one cannot hear anything from backside where passenger feel so much comfortable with so many facilities provided to them which makes this vehicle no less than a luxurious compartment on wheels.

And for the high tech vehicle, the drivetrain is also going to something futuristic. Tubik concept is based on the Hybrid4 technology having the innovative facilities and structure. It’s a four wheel drive car wherein the rear wheel are powered by electric motor and front ones by combustion engine have very low rolling resistance, 22” size with tall and narrow look.

The details of the Tubik concept are scant. The vehicle, however, will be unveiled at IAA Frankfurt Motor Show. By that time, keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned for more.
