Bern, Switzerland-based artist Dante Rubli is a veteran sculptor who has wowed the world with awe-inspiring pieces. His sculptures include scale models of iconic sports cars which are crafted in luxury finishes, like gold, white gold, and silver. Having given the world masterpieces like the Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing in white gold and the £88k golden Aston Martin, the master sculptor is all set to present the latest venture from his Iconic Sports Car series at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Weekend. Dante, whose design studio 'Design by Dante' is one of the sponsors of the event, will showcase the Ferrari 250 GTO sculptures in his own tent that will be flanked by tents of uptown co-sponsors like Infinity Porsche and The Wall Street Journal.

Since the event is set to showcase a number of the original Ferrari 250 GTOs, it was the most opportune moment for the artist to present his own tribute to the cult-inspiring supercar. The highly anticipated third piece from his acclaimed car series, the 24 Karat sculptures will be presented in three different scales as usual.
The 1:8 scale Ferrari 250 GTO sculpture comes handcrafted and hand finished in 24 carat gold leaf presented on an ebony display plinth with a glass presentation case bouncing the radiant metal’s glitter even further. The 550x210x160mm sculpture weighs approximately 5 kilograms and is priced at CHF 150,000. The artist will make only ten pieces of the limited edition sculpture.
The 1:4 scale version of the sculpture has a 50gm galvanized gold finish, although the artist provides other luxury finishes upon request. This variant stands on a stylish display plinth that comes fitted with complimentary illumination. Measuring 1100x490x360mm, this version is a little heavier at 15 kg but sells for the same price as the 1:8 scale model. This version will also be a very limited edition number and only 10 of these will ever be crafted.
The largest in the series, the 1:2 scale model is the most intricately detailed one in the series with a luxurious 24 carat gold leaf finish that highlights the hand-crafted precision. This version measures 2250 x 840 x 1200mm and weighs in at a hefty 100 kg. Stood on a plinth fitted with a remote control light system, only five of this variant will be available for purchase at CHF 600,000 a piece.
The prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance weekend gets the most respected collectors from around the world looking for the finest automobiles made in the whole wide world and the Ferrari 250 GTO sculpture couldn’t have found a better event to debut its splendor.
