Eco-Shell Marathon 2006: attaining a 6,786 miles per gallon

Eco-Shell Marathon 2006 is not just about speed, but fuel-efficiency too. Braving the alternating high and low temperature, and violent winds, the first 27 teams from the European Eco-Shell Marathon 2006 broke the 1,000-kilometer-per-liter (2,825-mile-per-gallon) barrier while racing seven laps at the Nogaro Circuit in southwest France.
