Ford Transit gets more models

Ford Transit, Ford's best selling van in Britain, has four more models in the market now. The new three-way Transit Tipper is available in single and double cab options. Both models are rwd with a choice of three 2.4 TDCi engines which deliver 100PS, 115PS or 140PS.

Transit Curtainside has also received two new models with the same choice of engines as the Tipper. All transits rolling out this month onwards will be equipped with an 'aux-in' socket that will allow passengers to plug their mp3 players into the van.

Passengers can plug their portable mp3 players through the audio unit. The socket will not add to the cost of the van. The socket is placed on the passenger side, under the upper dashboard lid.

Transit Tipper models are priced from £21,750, while the Transit Curtainside models cost £22,400 onwards.
