Cruden creates an expensive $200,000 F1 simulator

Harsh Nov 16 2009

The F1 simulator created by Cruden is an expensive piece, running into costs quite higher than many dersire-worthy sportscars. But hey, it’s F1 we’re talking about, and everything is expensive about it, you know, the kind of costs even major automakers aren’t too willing to pay. This simulator claims to have 6 DOF (Degrees of Freedom), 100% accurate steering wheel, and g-force simulation for multiple values of g.

You get to choose from three 42-inch screens or stereo projectors, single or three-seat setup, open/closed cockpit, and an optional bodykit. The system has “same equipment used by the top racing drivers and engineers” and software that “cannot be bought in a store.” Perhaps that’s how the simulator turns a $200k total.
