Holden has released two new cars at the Brisbane International Motor Show. The cars that made the debut are, Holden Epica and Holden Morpheous Commodore VE SS.

The Epica will be available in April in two variants, the CDX and CDXi. The CDX version will be powered by a 2.0-liter engine that delivers 141 hp and a peak torque of 144 pound-feet. The CDXi will deliver 154 hp and a peak torque of 174 pound-feet.

The company has not made any comment on the odd name of its purple colored VE Commodore. And I don't think that there is any relevance between the car and the Morpheus of the Roman Mythology who is the son of Somnus, the god of sleep.
