Transformers have a craze of their own. When the concept of cars converting into robots hit the silver screen, fans went absolutely ballistic. Now, it’s time to scream out even louder, that is, if you didn’t when you saw the first Transformers movie. With the wave of freshness the concept raked in, artist and designer, Nathanael Kuipers took it a notch up.

Making a deadly combo with Lego and a Lamborghini Countach, the artist has outdone himself immensely. Building the model on a 1:17 scale ratio, the designer feels he could have done better. But then, knowing that Lego is not exactly a very comfortable medium to use for sculptures, he did not let the fact bog him down.
The miniature version also has been created with a V12, downsized according to the model’s height, chrome tints, and a detachable engine cover. Adding to the beauty are the set of operable doors and a detachable hatch for revealing the gear stick and in-built hand brake. Sideswipe has been awarded a new Avatar, thanks to Nathanael Kuipers.
Seeing how the miniature version is a replica of the original car model, even Lego has not been able to deter Kuipers from this abominable task. It was not a piece of cake for the artist, as he created not one, but two intricate models out of the building blocks.
Lamborghini, turning into a Sideswipe transformer’s model, with each part of the car forming an inseparable pattern on the robot’s body, is commendable. Open the car’s bonnet and back, and you would see all those parts which would otherwise have been present in a normal car. Nathaniel has left no stone unturned, neither has he left any avenue undiscovered.
In the end, all I can say is, the artist is immensely gifted and he has used the gift in the best possible manner. Check out the image gallery to see the Lego Lamborghini Countach converting into transformer.
