More images, renderings of the Venom GT surface

It has been a long time since we last heard of the Venom GT, and Hennessey have just given us another look at the upcoming supercar, probably to keep the show running. Based on the Lotus Exige S chassis, the Venom GT will have a mid-mounted twin turbocharged V8 mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The powerhouse will provide the car with 1000bhp and an astonishing 950 lb-ft of torque.

The two-seater weighs just 2395 lbs, and will likely dash from zero to 60mph in just 2.2 seconds, while the 100 mph mark should come along in a quick 4.9 seconds. Top speed for the supercar is expected to be 262mph. Deliveries of the hypercar are expected to begin sometime next year.
