This is a place where the dream for the classic car lovers or any other classic car buff materializes. It is a time when all the classic glitters from Japan jam up to put the place on fire with a deluge of nostalgic beauties guzzle at long beach.
This was consecutively third year this weekend when the annual Japanese Classic car show was held and as far as I think nobody would have asked for any thing more. It was an awesome event with a huge turnout and in total a breathtaking event.
The event got a start in 2005 when a faction of car aficionados from Southern California came up with the first ever Japanese classic car show, first of its kind in US and boy! would they have imagined that they will reach this far.
Starting from a small gathering of some Japanese car owners and car enthusiasts around the area, now it hosts a number of hard core J-car fanatics from all around western US to some passionates coming all across the pacific from Japan. The scene was jam packed with around 300 Japanese cars turning the Queen Mary's event park into dreamland.
The show also marked a time for celebration to some of the bigger names in Japanese auto makers as Toyota completed a half century in the US market, Mazda is commemorating 40th year of its Rotary engines.
From the flicks one can guess that JCCS is a place where all the vintage cars, Japanese cars enthusiast could look for are present. You can see everything, from Carbon-fiber Hayabusa powered Honda Z600 to number of strong showoffs from Toyota and a variety of cool looking hot vintage cars from various Japanese auto makers.
