French automaker, Peugeot, is gearing up to unveil its latest offering, 508 RXH, at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show in September. The new machine will be a diesel-electric hybrid. The French company is planning to start selling the car from next spring but has released photos of the 508 RXH, which shows that it is a superb machine to own. The car is set to find many takers because it will be the first machine to have a diesel-electric engine.

The photos which you are seeing above and in the image gallery are of all-wheel-drive model, which will be powered by a 2.0-liter HDi diesel engine and an electric motor. The diesel-electric hybrid engine will deliver a total output of 200 horsepower, which is definitely incredible by any means.
According to Peugeot, the new car is an improved version of its hugely popular 508 SW. The best part of this car is it can cover long distance in electric mode. Three vertical LED strips are fitted on each side of the grille to make the car look macho because these strips resemble lion claws. The 508 RXH has 18-inch wheels and a glass roof, which has become standard now. It also has a head-up display. Peugeot is yet to announce the price of the new car, which will challenge Audi A4 Allroad Quattro in style. Who will win? This is something which we can’t answer now.
