Porsche 911 pumped with 10,000 bullets for a cause

Eccentricity is the essence of mankind. A little bit of eccentricity resides in all of us; while some of us challenge it, others managing to subdue it. One such act of eccentricity recently reported was the shooting of a spent Porsche 911. The owner of the Porsche, after discovering that the engine and cooling system of his Porsche had died down and would require a massive repairing job worth $20,000, donated it to the non-profit group which works for the protection of gun rights. The group, Commonwealth Second Amendment (Comm2A), pumped the car with close to 10,000 bullets during an event dedicated to protecting gun rights.

The owner of this Porsche donated it to charity. In this case, the charity is Commonwealth Second Amendment (Comm2A).

Basically an automatic transmission car, the Porsche was first completely checked to see if the car as a whole or any of its parts could actually be re-vitalized. However, when observed that it was nothing worse than a piece of junk, the charity group embarked on this unique event which they called as their voice for bringing sanity to the ludicrous Massachusetts gun laws. Whether they were successful or not in making their voice heard is not known, but the 140 shooters who had assembled with a barrage of ammo and weapons from hand guns to rifles as well as a twin M2 Browning machine gun did have a gala time.

Co-hosted by a group that goes by the name Northeast Shooters, this supposedly social event for gun lovers with a theme to decimate the expended 911 resulted in a very interesting find which would no doubt be good news for Porsche owners. Following analysis of the shooting event, it was observed that despite heavy riddling of the Porsche, it held up significantly better than the other cars which too were exposed to such events in the past by the same group.

Most importantly, it was observed that despite exhausting all the firepower, the bullets failed to completely penetrate the sports car. Not just this, it was also observed that no rounds were able to penetrate the area by the gas cap – undoubtedly the most susceptible area for any four wheeler. Also neither was any round able to penetrate a fine patch located by the passenger part and the engine, which indicates the strength of the area around the passenger zone.

No doubt this eccentric get-together supposedly also managed to make its voice heard against the gun laws, but what it managed to make heard even more loudly was the durability of a Porsche 911.
