Porsche's 9FF GT9 clocks 407 k's and almost dethrones the SSC Aero

Recently, the SSC Aero dethroned Bugatti's Veyron to become the world's production car and now we have Porsche's tricked out 9FF GT9 giving the Aero some very serious competition. The 9FF GT9 fell just short of the SSC Aero's 411.71 kmph as it clocked the 409 k's at Papenburg on the 10th of April. Coming to what the long-low Porsche has under it's hood to belt out these superlative figures, you'll be amazed to know that the GT9 features a earth shattering 987 horses.

All this from a flat six twin turbo mill that screams out traditional Porsche. The GT9 also falls short of the Veyron's nought to sixty dash by a huge 1.7 seconds. We think this is because of the fact that this Porsche hasn't been developed from ground up as it is basically a pimped up GT3. So the writing on the wall is very clear. To dethrone the Veyron as the fastest accelerating car and the SSC Aero's top speed, Porsche needs more than a pimped out GT3. Hope the boffins at Stuttgart are listening.
