Recreational RVIP Lounge truck lets you enjoy karaoke on the go

On wheels

Moving from point A to B may not be the same boring affair anymore. Now you can sing and dance your way to your destination with the RVIP Lounge. It is not just a truck but a fully functioning nightclub of sorts on with wheels attached to it. Previously RVs always doubled as homes or offices of their occupants. But the RVIP Lounge goes a step further and it provides its occupants a karaoke bar to make that long journey fun filled and relaxing. So while you can check your mail and finish up your office work, you can also be having a party of your own at the same time.

The RVIP Lounge debuted at the SXSW festival three years ago when musician and actress Kestrin Pantera and product manager Jonathan Grubb was on the look out for low cost way of traveling to the festival. They renovated their RV & fitted it with karaoke bar. During their travel to the SXSW festival, it provided viable accommodation for the couple.

Amenities on-board

It comes with a new light fixture & a 12V outlet in the bedroom. A 19" white Samsung LCD TV with digital converter box adorns the bedroom wall. It has a Winnegard antenna on the roof. The lighting for the main living area has been done with energy efficient florescent lights. The roof is resealed with Eternabon. This year in partnership with Walt Disney Imagineering CTO Scott Watson, they have been able to add a few more features, e.g. the light array on the outside of the vehicle which looks like a giant interactive equalizer.

The interior has also been designed with quite a finesse. There is wood laminate flooring in living area and a new all weather carpet in the cab. Walls, ceiling, cabinet, dash, doors – all have been freshly painted to make it look new. The shower have been redone with upgraded fixtures and Oxygenics showerhead. New faucets have been added in the bathroom. The vehicle easily fits in most regular parking spaces. So no problem should be faced as far as parking is concerned.

The power train

The vehicle is powered by a Chevrolet 454 7.4l big block V8 engine. It is fitted with a new water pump, distributor cap, rotor, plugs, ignition leads, starter and flywheel. It also comes with a rebuilt carburetor. New hand brake cable and a brake master cylinder give it the required braking ability. GM gives a warranty on the engine,starter & the water pump.

The highs

The RV is a tried and tested one. It has attended parties where it has carried out the role of a transport vehicle effectively by picking up and dropping people at their requested stoppages. It also makes guest appearance at random parties. It's a fully functioning, efficient, cost effective mode of transportation with a built in karaoke where the riders can have a nightclub atmosphere while on the move. The RVIP Lounge is always available for booking. It is also available for giving free rides to people whenever they want.
