Rent-A-Racer Returns: Ford resurrects Shelby Hertz

You must be thinking gone are the days when a ride on a Shelby Mustang GT350H was a phone call away. But no, Hertz Rent-A-Car is back, rejuvenated by none other than but Ford.

The program will be refurbished with Ford producing 200 black and gold Mustang GT's for Hertz. Of course, the Mustang will now be powered with the 4.6-liter V8 producing 320 horsepower, 20hp more then a stock GT.

A Ford executive said:

We're starting to have a little fun. This is our big news in New York. The thinking on resurrecting the Shelby Hertz is that if you are going to Vegas for the weekend, you won't have to rent a Chrysler Sebring. You can get a hot Mustang.
