Vinod SharmaSep 9 2010

Continuing the tradition started by Colin Chapman in 1957, Caterham launches a new special edition of the iconic Seven called the Roadsport 125c Monaco. The special edition vehicle keeps the trademark retro design and has employed the modern lightweight techniques at the same time. Power for this open fun machine comes from the basic 1.6 liter Ford Sigma inline-4 engine that generates 125hp and 120 lb-ft of torque. Power is transferred to the wheels via a 5-speed transmission which pushes the 500kg vehicle to get a top speed of 112mph.

The 125c Monaco has a power-to-weight ratio of 227bhp per ton and it is capable to race from 0-60mph in 5.9 seconds. Additionally, the car comes equipped with weather kit that makes it thoroughly enjoyable in any weather and flaunts brushed aluminum bodywork alongside the black nose and fenders. Also, the red and white stripes which run up the nose and across the sides of the car represent the Monegasque flag – the official flag of Monaco. Roadsport 125c Monaco is priced at £20,995; however, the first twenty customers will get a rebate of £1,000.
