The Germany based car manufacturer 'Volkswagen' had unveiled the 2012 version of its 'Volkswagen Eos' car at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show in California. To mention, the first North American production version of the Eos model it was introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2006. But 'Volkswagen Eos' was showcased earlier as 'Concept C' at the Geneva Motor Show in 2004 and the first global production version was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2005.

The newer version boosts significant changes in its front grille, tail-lights, interiors and bumpers. This newer version has already impressed many Volkswagen fans and the present owners of the previous versions. Apart from them, this version has also pulled out other manufacturer's attentions with its stunning upgrades.
What does it offer?
The 2012 version of the 'Volkswagen Eos' offers a two door, four seat luxury coupe that could transform into a convertible with a very little time. The significant changes made in this newer version includes the modification of the front grille, replacement of the rounded headlights at the front with rectangular units and the inclusion of LED tail-lights at the rear of the vehicle. These LED tail-lights are designed to work on fiber optics technology. From outside, these tail-lights represent the shape of the letter 'M'. Apart from these changes, a diffuser is also included at the rear part of the vehicle. The beauty
The retractable hard top of the 'Volkswagen Eos' is its highlight. The roof panel is excellently designed such that it could be able to fold itself in 5 parts within just 25 seconds. 'Volkswagen Eos' possesses a powerful 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder gasoline engine with 16 valves Double Over Head Cam shaft technology. A direct fuel injection system helps the engine to achieve the accurate compression ratio throughout its operations. This vehicle is estimated to produce a power of about 200 horsepower with a torque capacity of about 207 lb/ft. The diesel variant could produce a base power of about 138 horsepower. 'Volkswagen Eos' has an excellent transmission system which is either represented by a 6 speed manual gearbox or a 6 speed automatic Dual Shift Gearbox depending on the customization. The vehicle's engine is available in different formats such as 1.4 TSI, 2.0 TDI and 2.0 TSI depending upon the variants.

'Volkswagen Eos' delivers a stunning performance with its most powerful 2.0 Turbocharged variant. The vehicle could cruise from zero to sixty miles per hour in just 6.5 seconds. This stupendous coupe cum convertible boosts a mileage of about 22 miles per gallon within the city and about 31 miles per gallon on the highway.
Interiors
The upgraded version includes a new instrument panel with 'Matte chrome' detailing as a standard feature. The window buttons and light switches has been touched up with chrome plated materials. The seats were equipped with its innovate cool leather materials which allows less radiation into this convertible. All the standard safety features are included in this version. The interiors could also be customized, if necessary.
Exteriors
'Volkswagen Eos' has not upgraded much of its exteriors apart from the front grille, tail-lights and the rear bumpers. However, the aesthetic look boosts a good aerodynamic design.
