Designed to capture the era of romance, when the rich were much less inclined to enjoy the simple things in life and were unapologetically posh, this very special Phantom Drophead Coupé really does set itself apart from the competition. Styled as a more playful reworking of the classic Rolls-Royce design, the Coupe re-imagines the sense of adventure of the early 20th century. The version is developed from the 100EX experimental model and the car draws heavily from the J-class racing yachts of the 1930s that were famed for being crafted out of natural materials and their performance.

Special edition coupe offers ultimate luxurious and relaxing experience

With a bespoke raked grille accentuating the flow of the body, the design focuses on delivering a dual experience to the drivers and the passenger - the unabashed glee of roof-down motoring as well as the cocooning comfort of the intimate sanctuary created by the soft top. The interior itself renders the car a work of art with Seashell and Navy Blue contrast adding just the right touch of color to the floor and door panels.

Engraved tread plates, yacht-inspired natural-grain teak decking,cross-banded Santos Palissander wood veneers with mother-of-pearl inlays throughout, luxury-inspiring white instrument dials, rotary controllers, a mother-of-pearl-finish clock and an inscribed Spirit of Ecstasy marking the centenary of Rolls Royce complete the legend of the franchise while the classic R-R signature embroidered in the headrests gives it the perfect regal finish. The color of this delightful creation comes from the equally breathtaking Mazarine Blue butterfly, which can be still found in the South of England.

The bespoke finish is the latest addition to the 44,000-strong shade card that clients can order on their Phantoms. The real highlight of the design, however, is the one-off Asprey jewellery box tucked away neatly in the glove compartment of the Masterpiece London 2011 Drophead Coupé that, along with the custom-made luggage, makes the ride the ultimate tease.
