Ross Lovegrove’s carbon fiber sculptures are awesome

Ross Lovegrove, best known as the designer of Sony Walkman, has quite some interesting sculptures to his credit. Some of his sculptures incorporate elements of speed in the form of carbon fiber and aluminum and some are clearly inspired by the automotive world.

The Cetacea lounge from the designer is based on the seat and tank area of a bike, and converts it into a sensuous piece of art. The Ridon sculpture is easier to identify. This carbon fiber sculpture appears like a rider and motorcycle in speed, and fused together for eternity.
