The well-known Porsche tuning company RUF has managed to take the Cayman model to a higher level than ever before.

However, the design of CTR3 is completely new and different from existing mid-engine concepts. While its aerodynamic design helps it to accelerate to higher speed, its longer wheelbase gives it stability. CTR3 with its Integrated Roll Cage gives high priority to passenger safety, that adds to chassis stiffness. The side-impact protection beams ensure the whole car absorb the force of impact, rather than just the door. The doors are made of aluminum, while the front structure and passenger compartment comprises of galvanized steel. Kevlar-carbon composite provides the body-shell with strength and a much reduced weight.

CTR3 's engine has been upgraded to a twin-turbocharged 3.8 liter flat-six-cylinders. This gives it 750 HP at 7,100 rpm, while the maximum torque it can yield is 708 ft/lbs at 4,000 rpm. Its transversely mounted sequential shift 6-speed transmission provides torque up to 855 ft/lbs. CTR3 is a high-performance car which accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds and has a maximum speed of 236 mph. A shift indicator has been imbibed into the dashboard that helps you know the current gear in use. The front axles use a specially designed car suspension system called MacPherson strut, while the rear axles are based on motor sport technology. The car employs Bosch anti-lock braking system with each disc brake of 380 mm diameter. CTR3 has staggering forged aluminum wheels with 19-inch wheels in the front and 20-inch wheels in the rear.

Moreover, you can have a functional lightweight finish or a sporty luxury finish with leather and Alcantara, according to your choice.
