A Czech lorry driver was led off-course by his sat-nav system and got his HGV stuck in a narrow country lane in Ivybridge, UK. The driver was on his way to pick up a consignment of TVs but total and blind reliance on the navigation system got him stuck.

The lorry had a bed and Yuri spent three nights there while the people living in a house nearby hosted him for meals. The vehicle was finally pulled out by a tractor with a tree surgeon on hand to ensure there was minimum damage to vegetation nearby.
Moral of the story: Use navigation systems but use your brain as well!
