Slimo concept is a pod for future urban transport

Designer Sung uk Kim’s Slimo concept looks like a cubicle on wheels, but apparently, it also packs functionality for a personal future urban travel vehicle. The concept from the Seoul based designer uses extremely small “wheels” and while the cockpit looks too congested for the driver, the dimensions show it to be actually quite comfortable and spacious. Oh, and since we are talking about the future, it is full of all kinds of gadgets.

The units double up as a moving information screen as well, and while these vehicles are independently owned by users, simple messages for passers by can be displayed when a group of these modules are moving together. Interestingly, the designer chose the VW badge for the concept, while the present Volkswagen models don’t hold any massive similarity with the design, the future models may have something else to say.
