The Grand Sport and Super Sport have clearly been the two landmark models in Bugatti Veyron Series. The Grand Sport being the roadster version of Veyron and Super Sport being the one with 1200-bhp power, setting the record 268 mph speed. Bugatti had reportedly discontinued the production of Veyron but Images here shows that Bugatti is planning to come up with one last coupe. A combination of Grand Sport and Super Sport models. Here is the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Super Sport which may be one last episode in the Veyron saga which may then possibly be replaced by a super sedan similar to C16 Gablier concept.

Bugatti apparently has ended the dilemma faced by many who wanted a combination of the ultimate in super style and thrill of owning the most powerful car. Bugatti has fused the super stylish chassis and body of Grand Sport with 1200 BHP quad turbo W-16 super powerful engine of Super Sport which recorded the high speed of 268 MPH. This spy images shows that there is minimal of camouflage between the previous versions. The famous NACA air intakes of Super Sport found on its roof have given way to chrome air intakes of a normal Veyron. With removable top of Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Super Sport NACA air intakes make no sense for obvious reasons. But what this also means is that this roadster may not be as fast as the Super Sport but will still be fast enough to give a chill to the thrill seekers.

Speculations

Few days back The Bugatti CEO, Wolfgang Durheimer was spotted discussing the possibility of a Super Sport engine in the model of Veyron Grand Sport, sending experts into over drive predicting that such a model can be few years away. But this spy images shows that Bugatti is in line to launch it soon in the market. All Bugatti Veyron models carry the 8.0 Liter W-16 beasts like engine under the hood, but due to the use of four enlarged turbochargers and bigger intercoolers the Super Sport has much higher output of 1200 BHP as compared to 1001 BHP of Grand Sport. It is expected that Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Super Sport will also trade the same path of turbocharged/ intercoolers but in a tamer way. There can be more surprises in stored under that bumper but only time will reveal the exact specifications.

From 0 to 60 MPH in 2.5 seconds, Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Super Sport can pull up to 1.4g on a skid pad according to Bugatti. The test drives suggest that his all-wheel-drive supercar will be high on performance and output.
