Rise of the bourgeois class in China places it next to America as a potential buyer of luxury cars. As a result, every automaker tries its level best to have a maximum pie of the growing Chinese market. The latest efforts are made by Spyker. As per media reports, Spyker wants to launch a road going version of the GT2 sports car for the Chinese market later this year.

Apart from a special C8 Spyder GT2 version for China that will be longer, wider and offer more comfort for the driver, Spyker also plans to build a four-door car that could appear by 2013. The four door model will be pitched against the sporty executive vehicles such as the Porsche Panamera, Jaguar XF and the Passat CC.
The C8 Spyder GT2 Chinese edition is to be launched by October this year and a second China specific model to follow the suit in December. The October model will feature Chinese design elements on the exterior and in interior as well as upgraded powertrain to make it fit for daily use and many more.
