Super cool FA/18 SUPER HORNET Twin 70mm model caught in HD action

Navy aircrafts are some of the most popular among model airplane builders, and the Boeing (formerly McDonnell Douglas) F/A-18 Hornet is a crowd-favorite with a fan following of its own. The supersonic, all-weather carrier originated in the US, although it is currently commissioned by the Royal Australian Air Force, the Spanish Air Force, the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps.

The multi-role fighter jet was based on the YF-17 used by the United States Navy and Marine Corps in the 1970s and was created to destroy targets both on the ground as well as in the air. The Super Hornet, the successor of the F/A-18, is a larger and heavier variant of the original that was designed with a better range and improved payload capacity.

This Lanxiang model aircraft tries to mimic the original fighter jet in its form and comes quite close. The RC F-18 Hornet with twin 70mm EDF units is operable with with a 2.ghz radio system. The model has a wingspan of 1500mm and is equally as long with two 70mm ducted fan units. With a flying weight of 2200g, the model features an opening canopy, and a detailed cockpit with pilot and co-pilot seats that make this model look as real to life as possible.

With folding wings, flaps, leading edge flaps and thrust vectoring, the model is a true thrill to fly around. Featuring metal retracts that come with a screw thread winding system, this model retails at £299.99, although you might need to throw in a little more to get the transmitter and extras separately.
